Dave Armstrong – Managing Director

The Founder of Carbon Consultancy Company is ex-Chartered Surveyor, serial property investor, ex-
manufacturer of cardboard fittings and general good egg. Dave is the baton twirling conductor in
front of the orchestra. He spends a lot of his time educating in the field of sustainability, seeking out
new products, understanding technologies and visiting clients to understand their business needs.
He also sits on the board of a Carbon Reduction Group..

Dave has a wealth of experience to draw from, having studied and worked as a Surveyor on the
side of both landlord and tenant, he understands property. Dave also grew, ran and sold the family
manufacturing business, before going on to help lots of other businesses cut costs and forge growth.

He has a passion for helping orphans in Malawi and is a trustee of Friends of Mulanje Orphans
caring for 5,500 orphans in Malawi, visiting annually. (www.fomo.co.uk). He describes his social life
as a series of fundraising events to provide the essential services on the ground in Malawi, like food,
education and shelter.

Con Ward – Head of Energy Services

Our Energy Services division is led by the multi-talented and family man, Con Ward (short for
Cornelius). Having spent the first part of his career in manufacturing industry, exhibiting his ability
for improving efficiencies and motivating people, he joined us in 2008 to head up important
legislative requirements for our clients such as Energy Performance Certificates and Carbon
Reduction Commitment. Con leads his team with great skill, assists clients with commercial
decisions on paybacks and ensures client satisfaction. Away from the office, he likes camping and
spending time with his only granddaughter, Ava-Marie.

Keman Allen – Head of Operations

Keman Allen provides full support to all our team and is normally the first port of call, he’s our Head
of Operations and crucial to the success of Carbon Consultancy Company. Keman organises all
pricing and methodically follows the progress of our operations. Keman often spends time helping
our clients to understand complex legislation and our clients love having him there at the end of the
phone to answer any queries. He originated from Birmingham and is friends with Beverley Knight

don’t you know?! Twice a week he street dances and can often be seen chucking some shapes
around the office.

Mark Duffy – Head of Finance

Mark is an experienced accountant with many years of experience. He assists our clients to
understand tax benefits of energy efficient equipment as well as keeping an eye on our company
finances. Mark also assists with grant claims for our clients that we have secured funding for and
quickly resolves issues in such claims. He is a personable member of our team and his parties are
legendary and usually very late into the night.

Jo Preston – Head of Human Resources

Jo is in charge of our Human Resources and the essential person to know near pay. Prior to the birth
of her son’s Jack and Max she was a recruitment expert, with in depth knowledge of Health and
Safety and Employment Law. She is also a dab hand at calculating expenses and nothing gets past
her. Jo’s specialist subject away from work is George Best as her hubby’s dad used to drive for the
great footballer. Her house is filled with memorabilia.
